Since 1978, The Carpetbagger Inc. has been serving households in Maryland in and around the Anne Arundel, Prince George's, Howard, Montgomery, and Baltimore County areas. The Carpetbagger was founded by retired navy veteran, Edmond J “Prew” Proulx. The company came under new ownership in 1992, when long-time employee, Gary Christie, took over management.

In January of 2022, The Carpetbagger Inc. joined with Finme LLC to continue the proud tradition of servicing residential clients in many Maryland communities. As the oldest flooring company in Annapolis, our experienced team of professionals offer elite customer service to our residential and commercial projects.
